Dear Oliver,
I think the most exciting subject is a central square - Plac Defilad (between:
Marszalkowska-Al.Jerozolimskie-Emilii Plater-Swietokrzyska). The area
around a Palace of Culture. They are changing a Master Plan again and
couldn’t make any decision for last 20 years. The site is like twice
Potzdamer Platz in Berlin. Huge area!
That could be interesting how English students imagine a modern Warsaw
City Center. You could divide the site on a several parcells. I think I
can help you in small exchibition at our school and find some newspaper
that will write about it.
There are also a few other sites:
- Plac Konstytucji - recreation of the square (there is a big car park now)
- Koszykowa and Piekna corner
- Plac Politechniki
- a few sites at and around Politechnika campus
- area between Zielna-Swietokrzyska-Marszalkowska-Krolewska
- ul. Prozna - revaluation
- Plac Grzybowski - revaluation and new idea for this square
All sites are in the close neighbourhood of our Faculty (2-3 bus stops or
just round the corner).
I could try to find a place to work for your group at school. There are
very comfortable places at the hall - big desks for daily work but if you
would need a room for briefing or work or presentations - just let me
know.
